Forging ring

Forged rings have the characteristics of high strength, dense structure, complete metal flow lines, and long fatigue life, and are widely used in high-end equipment manufacturing fields such as aviation, aerospace, wind power, and nuclear power.

Product Features

High strength and high reliability: The forging process can eliminate defects such as internal pores and inclusions in metals, refine and arrange grains densely, increase strength by more than 30% compared to castings, and have higher impact toughness.

High material utilization rate: Using the rolling process, the machining allowance is small, and the material utilization rate can reach over 80%, reducing production costs.

High dimensional accuracy: Through precision ring rolling technology (such as radial axial bi-directional rolling), the diameter tolerance can be controlled within ± 0.3mm, meeting the precision requirements of IT8 or above.

Integral forming without welds: It can achieve seamless forging of large ring components (such as outer diameters up to 7.5 meters), with strong structural continuity and suitable for extreme working conditions.

Excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance: Forged rings made of materials such as stainless steel and titanium alloy have excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature stability, making them suitable for harsh environments such as chemical, marine, and aviation engines.

Support customization of multiple materials, including carbon steel, alloy steel, austenitic stainless steel, duplex steel, titanium alloy, Hastelloy, Monel, Inconel, and special metal customization.

Forged rings of different materials follow corresponding national and international standards:

Titanium and titanium alloy forged rings: comply with GB/T 16598-2013 Titanium and titanium alloy cakes and rings ASTM B381、ASTM F67、ASTM F136。

Stainless steel forged ring: ASTM A473 and ASTM A788 (American standard) shall be followed, and the packaging shall comply with ASTM A700 specifications.

Universal ring forgings: Referring to the "Design Specification for Mechanical Machining Allowances and Tolerances of Large Ring Forgings" of the China Forging Association, heat treatment and testing comply with standards such as GB/T 6402 (Ultrasonic Testing).

Dimensions

Outer diameter range: ranging from a minimum of tens of millimeters to a maximum of 7.5 meters.

Inner diameter range: The minimum can reach 101.6mm (such as customized requirements for AISI 304 stainless steel forged rings).

Height/thickness: generally above 10mm, up to 1000mm, customized according to customer drawings.

Tolerance level: can be stably controlled within IT7-IT9 level, meeting the requirements of precision assembly.

Selection Recommendation

Pursuing high strength and cost-effectiveness: alloy steel is preferred, especially suitable for heavy-duty machinery, automotive transmission systems, and other scenarios.

Emphasizing lightweight and corrosion resistance: titanium alloys and nickel based alloys are recommended, especially suitable for high-end fields such as aerospace and marine engineering.

Stainless steel is recommended to balance corrosion resistance and versatility, and is widely used in chemical, food, medical, and low-temperature environments.
