GH648 is a Ni-Cr based precipitation-hardened wrought superalloy with a long-term service temperature below 900°C and a short-term service terature up to 1100°C. The alloy is characterized by the addition of approximately 32% Cr, which endows it with excellent resistance to hot corrosion. Siultaneously, the alloy possesses moderate strength, good fatigue and creep resistance, as well as excellent cold workability and weldability. It is suitable for manufacturing high-temperature structural components temperatures between 900°C and 1000°C where excellent corrosion resistance is required. The main product forms supplied include plates, strips, bars, fs, and rings. The comprehensive performance of the alloy surpasses the performance levels of domestic GH3044 and GH3128. Due to its lower specific gravity comared to GH3044, GH648 exhibits a higher specific strength.
The alloy has been used to manufacture combustion chamber components and other hot section components for advanced aero-engines, with satisfactory mass production and service performance. Similares have been widely applied in foreign aero-engines.
