In fact, pure nickel used as a corrosion-resistant structural material is nickel-carbon alloy containing carbon. 

Application scope domain

Mainly used for equipment and parts for handling reducing halide gases, alkaline solutions, non-oxidizing salts, organic acids, etc. where the temperature should be below 315 degrees during use. The alloy has good corrosion resistance in air, and in seawater and various hydrochloric acids, but be used with caution in high-velocity HIC acid, and is not available in H,PO, and HNO, and can only be used in H,SO, that not exposed to air, and has good corrosion resistance in high-temperature anhydrous HF, in high-temperature chlorine and HCI, and in chlorine and fluorine.
