ALLOY X is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with additions of cobalt and tungsten. The ALL X alloys have excellent oxidation resistance up to 1200°C and can be used in both neutral and reducing atmospheres. Hastelloy X alloys also resistant to carburizing and nitriding atmospheres. 1. The alloy has good thermal working properties, forging heating temperature 1170°C. . The grain size of the alloy is closely related to the degree of deformation, the final forging temperature of the forging. 3. The alloy also has satisfactory welding performance which can be welded by argon arc welding, seam welding, spot welding and other methods. 4. The alloy can be directly added to the furnace that has been heated a high working temperature. After the necessary time of insulation, it is immediately discharged, processed to the specified size, and if the metal temperature drops below the minimum processing temperature, it to be reheated. 5. The adhesion of the surface oxide of the alloy and the slag around the weld is stronger than that of stainless steel, and it recommended to use a fine grain sand belt or a fine grain sand wheel for grinding.
ALLOY X has corrosion resistance in various atmospheres at high temperatures and has excellent high-temperature strength, and ALLOY X is widely used in various hightemperature environments.
