17-4PH is a chromium nickel copper precipitation hardened martensitic stainless steel. This grade of stainless steel has characteristics such as high strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance. After heat treatment, the mechanical properties of the product are more perfect, reaching a compressive strength of up to 1100-1300MPa (160-190ksi). This grade cannot be used at temperatures above 300 ° C (572 ° F) or very low. It has good corrosion resistance to the atmosphere and diluted acids or salts, and its corrosion resistance is equivalent to 304. 17-7PH is an austenitic martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel developed based on 18-8CrNi, also known as controlled phase transformation stainless steel. After solid solution treatment, 17-7PH stainless steel has an unstable austenite structure with good plasticity, toughness, and processability. After quenching and tempering, the austenite precipitates carbides and the composition changes. Then, after martensitic transformation treatment, most of the structure transforms into low-carbon tempered martensite with good toughness and good medium temperature mechanical properties. The corrosion resistance of 17-7PH is superior to that of general martensitic stainless steel.
17-4PH offshore platforms, helicopter decks, other platforms, food industry, pulp and paper industry, aerospace (turbine blades), nuclear waste bins, etc. 17-7PH aerospace industry, chemical and food processing equipment, refining equipment, and general metal processing.
