Alloy 925 has high corrosion resistance and can resist general corrosion, pitting corrosion, crack corrosion, intergranular corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in both reducing and oxidizing environments. Some environments where alloy 925 is particularly useful are sulfur-containing (containing H, S) crude oil and natural gas, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and seawater.
Used for downhole and surface gas well components, including tubular products, valves, suspensions, seat and release joints, tool joints, and packers. This alloy is also suitable for fasteners, marine shafts, pump shafts, and high-strength piping systems.
